Wakari Docs

Overview

Wakari is Continuum Analytics' hosted data analysis environment. We want to take care of all the boring stuff you don't want to think about, like managing servers, Python environments, and data.

User Interface

On the left we have a file browser. You can hide this file browser at any time by selecting the Toggle File Browser button in the View menu.

On the right, we have your main workspace. Notebooks, text editors, terminals, and plots live here. If you click and hold a tab, you can break it off into a left pane. You can click and hold the tab again to merge it into the right pane, or you can select the Merge Panes button in the View menu to combine all of the tabs into one pane again.

You can also switch between the Notebooks view and the Workbench view in the View menu. The Workbench view is what you see when you first open Wakari. From here, you can easily switch between your notebooks, text editors, terminals, and plots.

In the Notebooks view, you'll only see two tabs: notebooks and clusters. This allows you to both easily manage your clusters and quickly and efficiently navigate, edit, and add to/delete your notebooks.

Account Plans

Wakari includes a free account plan and several paid account plans. The paid accounts include advanced features such as SSH, Session Keep Alive, Multi-node, the ability to add additional compute nodes and clusters, and password protection for shared notebooks and bundles. The table below outlines the details of each account plan.

You can view this table and upgrade your account by selecting Settings from the drop-down menu under your username (located in the top right-hand corner of your Wakari window) and then Billing from the menu on the left.
